Best training leads for dogs that pull
Share
As a dog owner, I often feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of pet products out there. I’ll start searching for something simple, only to end up scrolling for hours, unsure of which one is actually the best choice.
Any dog trainer will tell you that selecting the right equipment is crucial for training and exercising your dog. We all want our dogs to be safe and healthy, and one piece of training equipment I have always used is a long line dog lead. It offers the perfect balance of control and freedom, allowing your pup to explore while staying safe.
Over the years, I’ve tried many different long line dog leads, testing out various materials in search of the perfect one. That was before I created Zhani Leads, of course!
Here’s my experience with different types of long line leads, along with their pros and cons:
- Nylon Dog Leads: I found these durable and lightweight, nylon is resistant to wear and tear, however I found that they become heavy when wet, as well as cut into my hands cute when my dog suddenly lunged.
- Biothane Dog Leads: I tried a stronger, waterproof and easy to clean lead which was ideal for outdoor adventures. However, I did find my Biothane lead was very heavy and stiff and also was slippery when wet.
- PVC Dog Leads: Zhani leads are obviously my lead of choice. Zhani Leads are made of nylon with a PVC coating, making them durable, lightweight, soft, and flexible. They’re also waterproof and washable, meaning no more soggy, muddy leads!
Choosing the right long line lead depends on your dog’s needs and how you plan to use it. The material plays a huge role in your adventures, and selecting the right lead ensures both safety and enjoyment for you and your dog on every outing.
